- Prep the hair: brush the natural hair section by section, and lightly tease the roots to give the rings something to grip. Heavy oil or conditioner on the roots will let the rings slide out.
- Section: work in 1 cm horizontal layers from the nape upwards. Keep each section thin so the rings do not sit on top of each other.
- Thread and pull: insert the loop tool through the micro ring, thread a small section of natural hair, and pull the tool back through until the ring sits flat against the scalp. Never force the tool - if it will not pass, the section is too thick.
